EXAMINE YOURSELF AND SEE HOW YOU CAN BRING POSITIVE CHANGE IN SIERRA LEONE.

Fellow Sierra Leonean,

I understand why you are all feeling desolate and disgusting for the current affairs of events in our beloved country.

While we all have the right to respond accordingly, we equally have the obligation to make sure our actions do not lead to further anarchy and wanton destruction of lives and property.

We must all collectively agree that the way politics and politicians play with the minds of people in Sierra Leone is completely on selfish motives.

There is no politician in present day Sierra Leone that is a true patriot. None of them seek the interest of the nation nor care about the lives of the citizens.

Innocent lives have been lost at different times and in different parts of the country under the auspices of APC and SLPP respectively. How many times have our presidents stood out to condemn or sympathize with victims or their bereaved families?

We must stop playing blame games and dig deeply into the root cause of our problems in Sierra Leone.

Sixty years of independence we have not moved an inch. No running water, no good health facilities, no reliable electricity, poor and dilapidated road networks, summary executions in the hands of police and ordinary citizens and many more. Listen to some of the current university graduates when they speak. It is deplorable.

This is not by their own faults, but a failed system. Parents and students exercise cheating in exams as their RIGHTS to humanity. Where is all these leading us? Most official payments we make goes into the wrong accounts, people around leaders do not offer the right advice. All adore corruption and thinks the next person should be held responsible. Where is the sense of Patriotism?

Why not we discuss these issues and find plausible solutions, irrespective of party affiliations or regional sentiments and do our future leaders justice. Prepare a better Sierra leone devoid of nepotism.

How long are we going to throw stones, stab each other, shoot each other like we are still in the jungles? When shall we call it a quit and be the sacrificial lambs to turn over a new page? This is too much now and does not seem to have an end.

Everyone of us thinks they have the right solution to our problems. We continue to tear each other down even when someone brings up a salient idea.

Do we really love Sierra Leone? Do we care about the lives of people that are striving for survival? Do we want to see developments that gets us closer to the western world? It does not seem like it.

If you answer yes to these questions, and if you think deeply of your individual role towards national development, we will all stop the negativities and talk to those who trust us and listen to us, we must tell them to cry down any POLITICIAN or POLITICAL leader that lures us into fighting against each other.

We must all be agents of peace for the love of Sierra Leone and those who do not have people to speak on their behalf. Thank you all.

Long live Sierra Leone
